Facebook was kind/not kind enough to remind me that 7 years ago I was told in a loud and meanly manner, “You have NO idea what it takes to be a successful person!” Ouch. Such a challenging time and tough memories. I knew then and even more so now that success is relative.
A date once asked me what my life goal is. (Apparently I appear to amble.) I told him my goal is to uplift humanity. He still calls me up once in a while and asks, “So how’s humanity?” Well, humanity is definitely being challenged, but I’m doing my part one soul at a time. See, success to me is finding space for those who are left out, knowing at the end of a day that my children are safe and that they are kind and compassionate beings, and that a friend can take this picture of me and say I am making a difference for her. That’s winning the freakin’ lottery.
How do you define success?
